Week of October 8 - 12

We will continue our unit on Poetry this week.  Students will continue creating different types of poetry each day.  At the end of the week they will come home with all their poetry in a folder they have designed.  Be sure and have them share the poetry with you.  This is a fun way to practice fluency.

Student have been having a great time using the Ipads in reading and math.  If you are interested in knowing which apps we are using at school, be sure and ask.  We have downloaded some great apps that allow students to learn a variety of things.  There are also apps that allow them to read into the Ipad and hear it read back to them.  We will be using the Ipads throughout the year and have some fun projects planned on them.
